Printing Delays

Hey folks, the printer just informed me that they've been having massive storms in their area, causing power outages. Zafir was slated to print tomorrow, 7/10, but has been bumped to begin printing on 7/17 instead.
This will affect the shipping of your final rewards, obviously, but I promise that once they're printed and shipped to me I'll get them out to you as soon as possible.

You will have received an email with a complementary copy from DriveThruRPG, you can download it without signing in or creating an account if you prefer, but I recommend it.

Production Update + Local Pickup

Hey Backers! This may be one of the last updates before you have the book in your hands!
Production Update
First things first, the rulebook is at the press, right now! All 440 pages of awesomeness are being printed in Minnesota as we speak. Once they're printed, they'll ship to the Zafir Games offices (my house) and our hardworking volunteers (me, my wife, and my mom) will pack up your physical rewards with the book and ship them to you! For the digital book, it's currently being approved on DriveThruRPG and I will send out free codes for it once that happens.
Physical rewards you say? How did they turn out? Amazing! Check them out!

www.zafirgame.com is up and running! Once the digital and print versions go on sale, there will be links to buy them there. Right now, there's downloadable character sheets, reference tables, a set of basic rules for free, and an interactive Zafir Character Sheet for Roll20! (You should really check it out, I put a lot of work into it!)
Local Pickup, Coronavirus, and YOU
Okay so we're in the middle of a global pandemic, you live in the Seattle area or you're one of my coworkers, and you wanted to save a little money by just picking the book up directly from me. I want to be clear, that's still an option! But because the office is closed and I won't be going downtown any time soon, Local Pickup means you come to my house and pick up your rewards there.
If you want me to ship it to you instead, OR you've moved away since you marked down Local Pickup, you need to update your address NOW on backerkit: https://zafir.backerkit.com/. Change your country to your current country of residence and the shipping cost will automatically update.
I will be locking down addresses on June 30th!

Hey Zafir Backers!
Here's the status on each of the projects going on at Zafir Games:
Rulebook - Digital: Done! Just working on who will be hosting it (probably drivethrurpg) and setting up some other things for the launch of the digital rulebook.
Rulebook - Print: The files have been sent off to the printer and they'll be sending me the proofs this week! It looks so good, folks, I'm really proud of it. One thing to note, we've changed what art is on the cover, opting to go with some art from Angela that is more evocative and colorful. Sam's beautiful city landscape is still on the back cover and used in the book, but I'm sure you'll like the new cover. Printing generally takes 4-6 weeks one the proofs are approved.
Character Sheet: Done! Great work by Chris on the sheet, it looks amazing. SNEAK PEEK: Download the Zafir character sheet right now and check it out! DOWNLOAD CHARACTER SHEET
Stickers, Patches, Art Prints: All made and delivered to our office. These will get packed up with your rewards when they ship.
Condition Tokens: Design is almost finished, we just need to get them printed.
Custom Dice: Chessex has been closed for the last several months, so the custom dice order has been delayed. They've reopened now, so this process is now in progress. It can take several weeks for these to be made, so please be patient.
*NEW* Website: In progress. To go along with the launch of the digital book, we're working on a website for Zafir that includes downloads for character sheets, quick reference, and a basic version of the rules that will be available for free. Additionally, it will host an NPC generator tool (using the tables from the book) and tools for online play. Speaking of...
*NEW* Roll20 & Fantasy Grounds Tools: In progress. The Fantasy Grounds tool is very basic, it adds a slash command to roll dice the Zafir way, but it's easy-to-use and functional. That's ready to go and will be available on the website when it launches. For Roll20, the custom character sheet is done and the roll templates are in-progress. It looks great and I'm excited to share it with you folks that want to play Zafir on a virtual tabletop.

Just a quick update on production of some of the backer rewards:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many places are closing production for the foreseeable future, or at least several months. This will affect Zafir in a few ways, specifically the book itself and the custom dice. I haven't set a specific shipping date yet anyway, but be aware that some delays may occur because of the global situation.
